In response to some NVH issues... version deux...
BETA 2011 Map: "Balance #2" for SST
Changes: Refined a few things to reduce upshift noise from drivetrain, clutch-packs, warp core, etc. I also found and fixed something that could have contributed to somthing slippy felt by OverCorrupt.
Based on: "Balance #1"
This one, I can drive on all day... it's very slick. Feedback welcome...

I'm still working on it.
The "tall gear" vibration is indeed present in v27 (and has been for ages). Needless to say, the next base map version will have it tuned out.
I'm working on the light-throttle, low-load stuff right now, trying to reduce the SST clunkiness. I don't reckon it's possible to eliminate it completely.
I've been playing with all my various maps to find out which one is best at minimising the "clunk" noises. Would you believe Bryan's v27 maps are winning? Full circle!
There should be some improvement possible from there, but making it clunk-free also tends to deaden up the throttle feel. It's the quick ramping of next-gear clutch pressure that (a) makes the car feel snappy, but (b) results in the occasional clunk noise.
That SST... it's built to be thrashed. Trying to get it 100% smooth is an exercise in futility, I think!

for the 2009 USDM/CADM - 91 oct - BoostPill - TBE - AEM Intake - V2.7, is it normal for ECUflash's ROMinfo to say that the year of the vehicle is 2008? also, when i try to link to the 53600010 metadata it gives me an error and if i link to the 53600009 xml it likes it but refers to the 53600010 as the parent...
is this normal?

All that "year" and "model" stuff is just in the EcuFlash XML. It doesn't actually do anything. You can edit the XML and put "Veyron" there if you want.
Not sure what you're doing with the linking/parent stuff, I'm afraid. Normally, if you download 53600009.xml and 53600010.xml from Golden's site it all "just works".

Today I read the stock basemap off my RA 2011 and, I notice that I didn't have the definitions for my car. So I ended up using the USDM 2011 RA, Is that ok?
Oh yeah, I'm finally running the GST Basemap v2.7 and it's amazing how the car drives now. No more annoying banging and clutch chatter.

OH i see how it works. For the 2009 Ralliart, you need both metadata files (53600009 and 53600010) as it uses 53600009 as the primary metadata definitions to call all the data definitions from 53600010.
Blah, I wish someone could have said that.
