Testpipe

I was wondering the benefits of a testpipe on a completely stock car (stock exhaust too). Will i lose low end power and torque? Because that is really useful for city driving which I mainly do. Also without a tune

2-3 hp gain from it.

Just ordered me a complete exhaust from http://www.ultimate-racing.com, I got all gaskets, the O2 blug for the Ultimate racing down pipe, Ultimate Racing Cat back exhaust, and the Ultimate Racing test pipe as well, I got all that for $950.00+shipping. I gonna sound like a beast in my town now haha.
