I think Ladogaboy has the right idea here. Cheap Tein coilovers are cheap for a reason. If you check most magazine tests (Sport Compact Car has an awesome writeup), Tein and other japanese manufacturers are notorious for having very stiff valving, meaning that they're hell on anything but the smoothest roads. If you guys want a more streetable set, you either need to wait for the higher end Tein kits to come out (like the Monoflex) or you could try emailing companies like KW, Ohlin, Bilstein, etc. Generally speaking, the European manufacturers are better at valving for street use while still maintaining great roll resistance and performance. I believe KW allows you to send in specs and have coilovers custom made. They cost more but you do indeed get what you pay for.

Didn't they already have the Basic for the 2008+ Lancer? I wonder if they just took the pre-existing kit, made a small change here or there and released it as a whole new setup.

Nahh no basic for the 2008 lancer but they had super streets!.. Pretty sure this is a whole new setup for the ralliart..
