painted my stockers

i painted my stock wheels, along with my calipers. i used gunmetal dupli-color rattle-can paint on the wheels and matte black engine paint on the calipers.
whadya think?

the pics don't really capture the metal flake. it looks better in person.

I think it looks pretty damn good, especially on the Apex Silver. My experience with the dupli-color says that you'll see some scratches and chips in a couple months though

You have a nice, clean garage.

I'm going to +1 on:

haha, thanks. all the crap is on the other side. lol.

yeah, i'm not too sure how well this paint is going to hold up, but i can always respray in the future or put a satin clear-coat on.
when i painted the wheels on my gts, we used an actual auto paint sprayed through a gun, and that stuff was solid. maybe i'll do the same in the future.

id suggest a clear seal to avoid the scratching and fading, it works amazingly.

Nice look. I wonder how well the paint will hold up against cleaning. I notice the stock finish on the wheels are really easy to clean. The brake dust wipes off with little effort.

with a good clear coat and a little wax, should be just as good, if not easier

I like it! Looks very good! Good job.

However, once it is start to chip... I would go with painted the rims with some chroma base paint and clear. Before painting the rims, use an additive called 222 (Dupont) into the rims so they won't peel over time.

Mine have a few months after paint and are still in good condition. Only normal wear is shown ATM. Just my 0.02!
