No one seems to know for sure. If you can make it work, you might be the first.

There was a thread awhile back about someone with an 8/9 that wanted to try fitting the OEM brembos onto the 09RAs..can't seem to find it anymore though. Dunno if it he ever got around to it...

Best of luck if you do try it out, let us know how it goes!

was searching and came across a RA that has fitted 6pot AP Racing calipers at the front with 355mm rotors, which was for the X.. and they also used 4pot AP racing calipers for the rear which was also for the x..

Interesting considering there have been multiple posts that the brakes from the X won't fit our cars....??? Yet a bigger kit does??

What parts on the EvoX brakes don't fit on the RA? Surely you can get adaptor plates made up. It seems strange to me that Mitsubishi would make the 2 cars completely different and yet share so many things.

Remember, the RA has more in common with the GTS than the Evo, and even then, we have less clearance in the rear than the GTS due to our suspension and awd. Could it be as simple as adapter plates? I sure hope so but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Check the older Evo 8/9 brake thread in this subforum, others have chimed in citing tuners stating the X brakes won't fit and no verdict on 8/9 brakes.

If the AP's in the thread above are made for the EVO X but also fit the RA, then why wouldn't the standard brembo's from the X also fit the RA with adaptors. I can understand that they probably wouldn't be a direct bolt on mod but I can't see any reason why you couldn't get them to fit by fiddling with things.

I could see the biggest issue being that you would need new rims as there is no war the standard ones would clear Brembo's.

Trust me, I'm not arguing with you because I don't hope it's true, quite the opposite.

Time will tell.
