Drives: 2009 Lancer Ralliart Tarmac Black

Rear suspension clunk

So I was driving home after doing some rollerblading at the park and heard a sharp loud clunk coming from the back of the car. I thought it was maybe my rollerblades sliding around in the trunk so I pulled them out and put them up front. Started driving and heard the sharp loud clunk again from the rear left side. The sound reminds me of my old car when the strut went. I looked under the car and could see nothing abnormal. Every small bump or corner I can hear it crack. Working today but will hopefully take it in to the dealer tomorrow. I hope they don't give me some aftermarket rims and tires causing this line.

Drives: 2009 Lancer RA

I pulled all of my wheels off recently, and when they were off, I snooped around the undercarriage and suspension. The driver-side rear swaybar bushing (soft rubber) looks like it is already starting to break apart and separate. I haven't been too concerned with it because I'm not driving my car hard and plan to upgrade my rear swaybar and install polyurethane bushings.

Maybe pull the wheel and check if your bushing is still intact too?

I would love to but working long hours these last few days. Hoping to drop it off and have it fixed by tomorrow night.
