It is almost instinct taking over. I wasn't even thinking about it. So now I keep my left foot mashed on the foot rest and have broke myself of the habit. I personally love the SST. I cant help myself I like to do some spirited driving once in awhile and have not been disappointed by the SST performance yet. Don't get me wrong I am not hitting the ORP drag strip looking to set a new R/A record, but for what I like to do it has been nothing but fun.

I haven't done this in my RA. But driving my mom to work in her commander once, I slammed on the parking brake going down the street and smashed her face into the dash.

Needless to say, she wasn't too happy.

I think by the time the B-2-B warranty goes (if you don't get yours voided early - or drive 36k in one year), that mitsu/getrag will have gotten all the data they need, get their stuff together, and there may be a way to buy/change your own clutch packs and do maintenance work on the SST yourself. Maybe. That's if you have the gonads to take on such a daunting task, and not worry about breaking it yourself.

At least mitsu tech's have a database full of help the can open!
Unless this is going to be like the 3000gt 6spd tranny again.
