+1.

Also, you could even grab a set of junk yard rims. Just make sure the bolt pattern is 5x114.3. Wheel size is 16x6 to 16x7 for 205/60s

And finally, congrats on the purchase! You'll grow to love the RA like most of us already have . Don't forget to take pictures and contribute them to the corresponding Official *Insert Color Here* threads!
what is the AWC reflash and how much does it cost?

Cost is nothing, it's a service campaign for 2008-2010 Lancer Evolutions/Ralliarts that are in cold weather areas.

Has anybody compiled a list of what constitutes a violation on the canadian warranty? I'm looking to buy used but they may have potential mods done and wouldn't mind knowing what to look out for based on other's experience.

Got my Ralliart today! Now to get a handle on all the gadgets it comes with!

Also, gonna shop around for some winter tires. Any suggestions? What sizes can i use, or do i have to stick with 215/45r18? Afterall, is it really necessary to have 18's for the winter...

Congrats Driving will be so much more fun now.
Cheapest way to go is to get 16" steels(or alloys but will be a bit more pricey). 205/60R16 for the winter tires.

I'm going with 18" for winter mostly cause I wanna get better rims in the summer so I'm using the oem rims for beaters.

Winter tires for 18" vs a 17" beater are like maybe 30 cheaper per tire.

Lovin my new wheels! Washed er down yesterday, then took er in for a complete interior scrub. She's a beaut!

Anyways, soemthing I've noticed that I hadn't noticed on previous test drives - RPM spikes and gear changes. now it could be just me not being accustomed to a car like this, but I have noticed the RPM's of the vehicle seem to spike dramatically, especially in low gear and early acceleration. I know its turbo charged and the likes, but in slow acceleration (traffic congestion) it makes for a jerky sort of ride. It runs incredibly smooth when traffic is moving fine, but low speeds = a little rough.

Also, gear chagnes when in Normal mode- Is it standard for the vehicle to jump to 4th gear around 45 km/hour? I've never driven/owned a manual vehicle, but I was under the impression that 4th gear should usually kick in around 50-55. Does the AWC reflash have anything to do with this?(not yet sure what the awc reflash is, i was positive there was a thread on it, but couldn't find it)

What could be the issue creating these concerns (if they are problems at all). I don't recall the RA i test drove having these problems at all. They may be related too.

you can tell there was reckless driving because his whole side is completely ripped off. That was no little fender bender.

The AWC reflash will take care of the "herky jerky" ride of stop and go traffic. The AWC reflash is supposed to help with cold weather start issues and makes the car shift smoother. Go in and tell your dealer u would like the AWC reflash, it is not a recall but a cold weather state/ province campaign so they won't send u a letter about it and it won't show up as a recall on their service computer.

thanks brad
do you know if the awc reflash will also fix the 4th gear @ 45 issue, or is that completely unrelated?

I dont think theres a problem with being in 4th gear @ 45, you have another 2 more gears to choose form. My car stays in 5 for around low to mid 50km/h and then 6 if i'm cruising at speeds above. I usually dont like driving at 40-45 though because it makes the car consume more gas than slightly higher speeds
