Congratulations! Hopefully you don't live in an area that's as volatile as mine is. I've had rain and sun shine for 3-4 days to rain for another week and my car is dirty as hell! Still love the car regardless of how dirty it is though!

Don't be too gentle, you want to run the motor fast everyonce in a while to keep everything lubricated.

I've been looking at trading my 08 ES in for an 09 RA. Gonna wait until tomorrow to decide to see if the October deals on an 09 get better.

Unfortunatly I work for a refinery that always gets my paint dirty and nasty... but really, it doesn't matter since I'd buy the RA for the driving, not the paint.

Owning one, I gotta say that this is the mentality to have. My jacket zipper brushed by my rear passenger door as I was moving in to get groceries from the trunk and there's a scratch in the paint.

The clearcoat and paint layer TOGETHER are literally less than 1mm thick. It's pathetic.

^ I was getting jumper cables out of my trunk to jump my girlfriend's car the other day, one of the ends swung out and bounced against the rear door. Nice scratch there, surprisingly - it didn't phase me very much, lol. To own any mitsu vehicle, you have to have that kind of mentality...unfortunately.

Hehe I think you're underestimating just how thick 1mm is... 1mm is like, almost 2 credit cards stacked on top of each other... The mitsubishi paint job is literally paper thin.
