soo when you say "aggresively pulled" what are we talking here?

and realistically then i can run a 8with some rubbing?? cause i can live with that a bit im used to it haha.

For those Non-believers

What I have here are the evo BBS rims 17x8 +38 on 215/40/17 General Tires. As far as I'm concerned, these tires are perfect and I don't feel any rubbing. I did not need to roll the fenders in the back which saved me even more money. For anyone that ever doubted this setup, I hope this changes your mind. I've been doing a lot of reading prior to buying these rims and a perfect opportunity came so I made the purchase. I wish I had a better camera, but the iphone4 is all I have now.

Very nice NorCal , those look perfect , how the car should of came from the factory. Did you need to roll the fronts?

I thought most knew that the evo 8-9 rims fit with the 215/40 series tires but for those that don't here are pics. Although I think for anyone that does some spirited driving would want to roll the fenders. That looks pretty tight, and all tires have different shapes even if the size is the same and I wouldn't want to risk scratching the rims.

So in the front i'm dropped on tein s-techs with kyb struts. The rear is stock and now that there is completely no tire gap, I think I'm going to leave the rear suspension stock. If I lower it with the springs, I'm sure I would need to roll those fenders. The front was not rolled. I still have yet to try driving with 2-3 people in the back so I will update this when i do.

Even after from doing all my reading, I barely found any pics with evo rims on RAs. Only pics are from guys from PR and not much was said about it. I was very surprised to find no rubbing issues, the offset must be perfect for those wheels. These rims stick out very nicely on the side, 17x8 is definitely a nice upgrade from 16x6.

Update: currently in the process of moving places. When my car is full of stuff, still no issue of rubbing; however, when I was driving two of my friends, the side he was sitting on was rubbing the fender. It wasn't much but enough to know I need to roll those fenders by just a little bit. Otherwise i would never be taking more than one person haha.

^ thanks K3lv. Very happy with how it turned out. Wheels are so much wider than stock, handling improved significantly. Thanks for the advice on this setup.

Tyson resurrectedralliart had those on his car. I'm not sure about tire size or filament issues but he would be the one to talk to. His is a sportback though.
