I'm actually running a 215/50/16 now on my 16x8's. I haven't gotten around to pulling the rears but on the front I rub at full lock only in reverse. I'm waiting until I lower my car to decide if I want to stick with the 215/50 or lower it down to a 215/45. Ill show you a picture hold on. I just have to figure out how to put it on here.
As you can see, the stretch isn't to bad. I'll take some more pictures later. This one wasn't so good because I was in a rush to get back to work. lol.

Oh ok i forgot you were running a 215/50. Nice rims btw! Ok so are you running a 5mm spacer or 10mm spacer? It might be the difference between you rubbing really bad or barely rubbing. 16x8 +35 with a 3mm spacer will clear and drive safely. Only reason i know this is true is because the people are running a 17x8.25 +35 with 3mm spacer and all they have o do is a slight pull in the rear. So a 8" rim should be about the same with a 5mm spacer. With a 10mm spacer you will have to pull more, plus you will have to take into account how big the sidewall is on the tire.

I've actually taken off my rear spacers. And put my stock rims back. It was a 5mm and it barely cleared so I'm trying to get a 8 mm spacer custom made so I have an exactly +35 offset. The rims I have right now are +42. My old bbs's where 16x8 +35 and it fit without any spacers. It might have fit because I used a tire without a rim protector which gave me a slimmer sidewall and maybe because I was running a stretched 205/55 on it. and it All I needed was just a roll.

Oh ok, that makes sense then. I didn't realize you had 42 offset. Yeah for an 8" anything from 35 and lower will clear. You should post up some pics of your rims. I should have pics of my new setup by my birthday lol May 3! I'm still saving for my coilovers. Lol

I will post some pictures soon. I currently only have two bbs's mounted on my car right now. Lol. Here's a picture of the "stance." Don't mind the battle scars. Some lady cut my off and made me ram into a gaurd rail. Luckily I didn't have my Bbs's on at that time. Sorry about the phone quality pictures. I don't have money for a professional one. -_-"

255? Lol I'm not sure about that. I know someone had a problem with the stock evo wheels with the stock evo tires and it was rubbing like crazy. I believe they were like 235. Might need a spacer and a pull.

The people who write those bad reviews about good tires don't know why they're designed the way they are. Some tires arnt meant to be ran year round, some tires arnt meant to be drivin in the rain or wet surfaces. Tires that are meant for racing arnt meant to have good tire life. If you're looking for an economical tire, don't go for v rated tires. Go for tires that are meant for good gas milage and are meant to be ran year round. In conclusion, racing tires = good grip, good for track/racing, good for summer or warm climates, bad for winter, bad for tire life, bad for gas milage.
