Lancer Front Lower Tie Bar!!!! EBAY...

Hey guys

Browsing on ebay I just found this Front Lower Tie Bar... it's the first time I see a Front Tie Bar for Lancers..... so what do you guys think about it!??! it's not a high performance, known brand made bar.... but I think it could work fine...

it's only $20 lol...

Would it fit the RA... I will check under the engine if the shape appears to be the right one and I think I'll go for it....

Has anyone bought it!??!?!

Take care!!!

Looks like it provides about $20 worth of support. I wouldn't bother. Spend the money for a proper underbody brace.

That's just a harness bar. It's doing next to nothing for structural support.

That looks like a $20 dollar harness bar... i really doubt you were feeling any real differences. Hell, you probably wouldnt feel any huge differences with a $300 dollar harness bar.

jajaja $20 harness bar... jajajajajaja have you installed one yet!??!
I don't think so... It cost me $120 and it DID work... why don't you guys believe in something different!??
You Americans just follow everything by the book and don't think much... you should try different things you know... My friend (1.6L Lancer) and I bought this harness bar and both felt a very nice improvement.... the car "twists" less... think about the car twisting its chassis when cornering... this is a 4 point harness bar... IT WORKS, trust me.... it's not like putting in a Sway Bar I know... the Sway makes better improvement...
Anyway, I'll let you guys know if the Front Lower Tie does something... The problem is that most of you won't believe me... but who cares?

its not that people are not believing in something different its just well a harness bar is just that. a harness bar. made for puting on race harneses for race seats. not to stiffen anything.

I know what it's made for... now tell me about the C-Pillar bars!?!?! What are those made for!??! ---> Stiffening the chassis!! This works as a C-Pillar bar...

Thanks

idiots and their $$ are soon parted.

Pass on the front lower tie bar, and remove the front sway bar. The car will corner better and you will save weight.

The harness bar is a harness bar. Period. The small, small, minute amount of chassis "stiffening" doesn't make up for the weight it adds. It adds horizontal support to the B pillars, which isn't a big deal for handling. The two supports to the floor are way too small to be anything more than support for the bar itself.
Also look at where the weight is added. Up high, which is never good unless it is a roll cage. It's not like you added a 4 or 6 point cage to it.

The difference you are feeling is placebo, my friend.

hahahaha well, im the one with the 1.6 liter lancer, and i dont have any other bar besides this one, and makes a huge difference when cornering. anyway, im autox´s first place just with that bar.

now, the front lower tie bar helps the tires when you accelerate or brake the car, because it holds the chassis together so it doesnt let the chassis open when you accelerate or put together when you break. so it does work!!!! as my fellow told, you all make things by the book!!! good luck
