brembos?!
Does anyone know if brembo makes brakes for the RA? (ie. pads, rotors, calipers etc.)

i dont think brembo does, but if you look at roadracemotorsports.com they have a big brake kit that has all that.

Has anyone tried to change their brakes out with some from an Evo??? I know that it isn't supposed to work but figured since this thread is open might as well see if anyone has customized anything to make it work.

I think the rear calipers and rotors will bolt right on. The front will need either the evo steering knuckles or some brackets made.

If that is the case a Brembo brake upgrade would not be that expensive if someone could get the breakes used off an Evo. Problem is they are such good brakes it isn't something the Evo guys upgrade a lot.

Even if you got all the parts off a junked Evo, I still don't see how it'd be worth it. We can't fit a fat enough tire on our car to take advantage of that much braking power.

R compounds anyone??
On a more serious note, I believe that in order to swap the front Brembos you would need a bigger wheel, possibly with different offset just to clear the calipers.

Yup, you'd need a 17" wheel with a 38mm offset, basically the size of the stock evo wheel. You'd have to do some fender modification.

Either get a rim with 38+ offset or get it pretty close and some spacers. I know there was a guy on here that showed some pics of his with 38+ offset wheels with a 5mm spacer and it didn't rub the fenders. It really depends on the tire you put on the rim. If you can get a cheap set of brembo brakes that fit on the 95-99 eclipse, they should bolt right on, they use the same front caliper. The guy above me can tell you that.

Assuming wheels are out out of the picture, the rear calipers and rotors will bolt on, and front Evo knuckles should be swapped in? Any special modifications needed for the Evo knuckles?
