Rims to wide

Was up my name is dee I have a 2004 White Ralliart lancer with some mods.I just got some rims from a online rim dealer and I was so happy because I was taking my lancer to the next level. It pays to do your homework when you call someone that sells rim for a living you would think they know best but that was not the case on this deal. Just to make a long story short the car is lowered with tein s.techs springs when I whent to put these rims on the car the rims hit the inside of the fender well. I called them so fast it was like I had them on speed dial and he said because my car is lowered that is why they don`t fit and he sent me some spacers. The car rides funny now and the rims rubs when I turn real hard an hit hard bumps. I like the rims but I can`t live with car like it is because I know it ain`t right the rims are 17x8 45offset with 205/45/17 tires. Should I keep the rim`s and get 205/40/17 are try to sell them both.

I have 215/45/17 on megan coilovers and it rubs when I make a u-turn. I had the same problem with my s-techs. I will just change to a lower profile the next time around and it should solve the problem. I ordered my Gramlights from tire rack and there calculations did not take into consideration the lowering. It is a problem with ordering online.
