you can, and are going to have to move the sub, I have after market subs in my ra, I just have them out of the way of the strut bar.

You can but honestly man for how cheap it would be you could slap an aftermarket sub in there for probably under $100 with box and sub. ABC Warehouse is the place to go if you have one around home. Easy way to get started on your own audio for cheap.

I dunno if you can do this on the RA but you probably could take the wires that are run to the stock sub and run them to the aftermarket one so that way you dont have to buy an Amp. I did it in my Explorer and it sufficed until I could get an aftermarket amp.

Just food for thought...

i found a way to remount the stock box and it does not move at all. While home on leave from Iraq and my last 3 days I went ahead and put all my suspension pieces on, you got to tap into the speaker wires and make a exstend the wires but not to bad i dont think. its as simple as taking off two brakets and using one self tapping screw for metal and a screw driver lol. It was a last minute thing sooo i didnt get the carpet and stuff put back the way i wanted to. will do that when i get back home again.

yea it actually mounts where the strut is, the wheel well inside the trunk sooo yep, it curves like that lol. basically i just turned it and took off the other brackets and screwed it into the bottom of the trunk, doesnt move or anything. The trunk hangers just miss it to when you close the trunk. You just got to exstend the speaker wiring lol.

not a problem. its just a quick fix for me till i can make something to go back there, not really into systems but do want to put in a new deck ect. I MIGHT put in a totally new system and if i do it will be because i cant use what i got now. the rear speaker will bet replaced eventually but this will work till i get home permanatly from Iraq and actually have time to work on it.
