so, i want to get 03-06 evo wheels for my RA, and from what I understand, they should fit w/different size tires - is this true?
they are 17" x 8" and are 5 x 114 mm or 4.5" bolt pattern with I believe a +35 mm offset

They will fit with a 215-45-r17 tire with just a lil bit of plastic rub.... I can prove it cuz I have them on my RA

Sorry to ask but does anyone know what size lug our tires use? I cant seem to get this one tire off so I'm thinking of taking a breaker bar to it and I cant seem to find what size ratchet-head I'm going to need.

I'm looking to pick up a new set of rims/tires for my '06 Ralliart Sportback, and have had my eye on a set of 17x7 Enkei EDR9's.
This whole "offset" ordeal has left me fairly confused and overwhelmed, and as such, I know find myself second guessing everything.
The rims recommended for my car on tirerack.com came up as having a +45mm offset, and a 5.74" backspacing.
Does this sound about right? I'm looking for something that will bolt up with no rubbing/issues. I had intended to run a 205/45R17 tire (though now I'm also wondering about 215/40R17).
Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'm willing to bet you have some rub marks on the inner rear up against the strut housing. I have a +45 16x7 wheel and it only has about 1mm clearance.

i can go lock to lock while going over bumps, in and out of driveways, over speed bumps and there's no noise, no binding and no rub marks anywhere that i can see... no noise or binding from the rears, no marks, nothing... the dealership even looked it all over a few days about cause there's clunking from a rear strut and they would have said something if my tires were contacting anywhere...
