I talked to a MItsubishi District rep about this problem and he said the OE part was defective and the parts they are replacing this with will not make the squeak. If you have a Ralliart that is squeaking then it is because this right rear lower control arm. He said the left has not developed a problem yet. Also he said that there was a defect in the OE part that caused the bushing to freeze up and not move with the cars travel. Hence the reason you have the squeaking. He said it was not a safety concern so that is why it has not been made a recall.
So if you have this problem with your RA there is a fix. Our dealer fixed it last week and the noise is no more.

I can't remember for the life of me. It sucks that I forget important stuff like that. Although trust everything I said as accurate and if any other RA owner has this problem then their solution would lie in the replacememnt of the LCA.

When they replaced my LCAs, it looks like they didn't even check the alignment. I was just under my car the other day, putting in a new sway bar, and saw some funky treadwear going on on my rear tires. You get what you pay for, as far as service goes. Rush-rush-rush the warranty work. I would be more angry if these were good tires.

My car has just begun to develp this noise. And just like you said, it sounds like it's coming from the rear passenger side (although I can't be completely certain). Sounds kinda like a creaking whenever the car starts moving from a stopped position, right? Well, I'm taking the car in next week, hopefully they'll be able to remedy this. I forgot about this post and started freaking out that it was the strut! I'll follow up when repairs are made. Thanks!

They shuoldn't have replaced both LCA's it looks like the side you shot of the uneven tire wear is the driver side rear and the problem according to the Mitsubishi District Rep was only the right rear LCA. If you have any tire wear/alignment issues you should go back to the dealer with that. It is unacceptable that they do service and it wears your tires like that. I have had lowering springs on my EVO for almost a year and I don't have uneven wear like that on my car and I never got an alignment. The thing is they didn't even need to mess with your alignment settings to change out the LCA...dumb dealers...
Also what type of sway bar and links is that? Looks very nice and I'm sure once the it gets diretier back there the only difference anyone could tell from stock is that it is larger which who really cares when your at an AutoX.

They changed both. The right side was the one making the noise, but they said they didn't want me coming back in two weeks to have the left one changed.

That's the Progress swaybar/links/perches that RRM sells. I shot some black rust-oleum on the perches to try to prevent cancer. Loving it so far, now I need stickier tires.

I don't have any squeak coming from the rear passenger side when driving or going over bumps yet because I purchased an '05 not too long ago, but like Captain150, I get a bit of squeak when getting out of the car after long drives. And by long I mean only 45 min...

It doesn't sound like you have the problem yet, try to pin poitn which side you har the noise from. The noise that this thread is concerned about is a constant squeaking noise, one that is very very annoying. It is also possible too that your tires are making a squeaking noise, which my RA does too.

I hope the problem never arises. It seems that most of the people in this thread aren't experiencing the problem for at least 10 000 miles?
I'm not quite sure that it's the tires, because it has a slight squeaking noise followed by several strange tapping/clicking noises. I'm guessing that it's normal though. I highly doubt that it's anything serious as of right now as I only have about 2000 km. First thing I'll probably notice is the a-pillar squeaking huh?
