Cruise Control Lever Relocation for Evo Wheel

So, you want the Evo wheel, but also want cruise control. Many put off getting this vastly superior wheel simply because they dont want to lose their cruise.

Well, now you dont have to!

So heres the basic idea:

1). Remove your cruise lever from your stock steering wheel, or order a new one (they are suprisingly cheap!).
2). Find a place to locate the lever. I found the hole in the cupholder segment of the center console to be perfect.
3). Make a bracket to hold it. This is the most difficult bit, but its just a case of getting it aligned.
4). The wiring. The lever has two wires that need connecting, and it doesnt seem to matter which way around you wire them.

The wires come from the ECU to the blue 11-pin plug C-108:

C-108 plug is located down behind the corner trim at the bottom of the footwell next to the door opening.

Once youve located C-108 (the cruise control plug), you need to know what each wire does:

11 - Blue - Stop Pedal Canceller
8 - Orange - Cruise Indicator Light
2 - White - Cruise Lever Wire 1
3 - Light Green - Cruise Lever Wire 2
9 - Gray - Clutch Pedal Canceller

What you need to do is cut the white and light green wires in pin 2 and 3, and extend them to your new lever location. Make sure your taking the wires from the ECM and not from the other side of the plug which takes those wires to the steering column clock spring, and thus the old location of the cruise lever!

Here is a diagram of the cruise lever circuit...

Thats it, simple as.
