I blew up my Transmission! (again...)

So for those of you that might have read my other Thread about the first death of my transmission I have another "fun" story to tell...
After having my Tranny repaired and a couple months of breaking it in I decided to take my car to the track (my first time ever to run at a drag track! ). Other than the fact that I seriously need to tune my piggyback to try and get some low-end back in my powerband, and the fact that I was considerably slower in the quarter mile than I thought I would be (my best run was 16.1 @ 88), I apparently did some damage to my transmission. About 2 weeks later I was getting on the highway and when the car shifted into fourth gear it did so very hard. After that it started to bog down horribly. I was able to get off an exit by keeping the gear selector in 3 and putted my way to a parking lot.
I parked the car and called up my transmission guy to see what he thought. He told me to bring it by if I was able to but when I went to put the car in gear it wouldn't move then started to shudder like it was in an earthquake...
So he got a tow truck out to where I was and took the car to his shop. Once he got the tranny disassembled we found the main imput shaft had shattered into about five pieces:

But all is not lost... I got it fixed and got a couple bonuses too! We switched out some of the springs in the accumulator valves and swapped out the valve body with that of the F4A52 transmission which seemed a bit beefier. All in all it cost me a grand total of $0, which is about of good of a deal as one can get.

Not sure... Maybe it was just a bad part that failed prematurely. The transmission guy said he's seen things like that happen in big diesel trucks and things of that nature with a lot of torque but never from a small displacement engine.

That's what I scaring me and since it happened once already to ralliartize it. It seems like a weak point to be wary of. Cryogenics should help but that's a pain to get to anyways, grrr.

Get any wheel hop on a launch? Never seen it grenade an input shaft, but there's a first for everything.

Not much at launch, but a crap load in the burnout box...

Yeah, that's bad. Wheel hop = something's going to break, and the trans is usually the weakest link. This car doesn't need a burnout when you go drag racing, especially not on street tires. Just go to the line, don't dump the clutch, and feather the throttle to avoid the wheel hop. Poly engine mounts will help, too.
