Grounding kit REVIEW!
Hey guys, I recently made my own grounding kit for my '04 RA, I tried to cover all of the grounding points mentionned y some threads... I'm posting some pics so you guys let me know what you think about the points I used... Suggestions accepted pf course! It's very similar to otter's setup...
Also no thread of grounding points has pics! So if you guys want we can use this as a "How to thread"...
I bought 5m of red 8 gauge monster cable and 18 8 gauge terminals! Cost me about $32!
My engine bay needs detailing I know lol
Negative of battery to closest OEM ground
From the battery (-) to a bolt near the cam position sensor
From cam position sensor to a bolt between coils 3 and 4
From coils to throttle body
From coils to place near cam gears and alternator, also another one from place near cam gears to alternator base
From alternator base to motor mount
From motor mount to OEM ground passenger's side
I think I missed a grounding point in here... otter said "bolt on back of the engine block"
I felt the car better... idle is better, lost a temp sensor malfunction, stereo is the biggest change! sounds great!!!

It improves the grounding on your system... the main reason is so that all the sensors get more accurate readings for the ECU... (that's why my problem with the temp sensor got solved)...
It's like having a lot of water (voltage) and not having enough room to put it (no good grounds)... you'll waste a lot of water (current)
So when you improve the grounds in the electrical system, everything works better... Amps and Volts go up a little bit!
the most noticeble improvement as I mentionned was the stereo system!

well it's not difficult... just follow the spots... and the ground wires have no live current so you will be ok! the only spot where you need to be careful is on the first one... the ground of the battery... tha catch is to disconect the positive of the battery when hooking up this ground... so you don't leave the battery ungrounded, coz if you do you'll get sparks when connecting the ground wires again...

wow, your brain just goes beyond everyone here... omg! you should own a GEELY o a GREAT WALL MOTORS car instead of a Mitsu...that's true too... but this one does improve something believe it or not... why do the best RA owners in this forum have it? otter for example...
