nonevo... did you try running 0awg through the grommit in the passinger side, or did you decide to take my advice and run it through the fuse block grommit by the drivers left foot?

Here is the box I made for my system. The amp that is mounted is for the sub, and a bigger amp will be mounted on the top of the box for the component speakers.

I found the piece referred to is properly known as the "splash guard"

I just used some black zapstraps in the engine bay to keep it safe.

What i did was take a coat hanger, and attach it to my 4ga wire so i could poke it through the passenger side grommet.
IT WAS A B****.
But after you get it through, it works like a wet dream.
and it looks really nice because it's all hidden.

Just ran my wiring today. Nothing huge, just 8ga for a 200w Infinity Basslink. I wanted a little more bottom end, and didn't want to sacrifice a lot of trunk space.
Anyway, I ran my power through the large hole mitsutech talks about. If you remove the fender liner, you'll see a small (1inch) round grommet down near the bottom. That's not the one you want.
If you go straight up about a foot from the round one, you find a 3x2inch oval grommet with some wires already through it. That's the one you want. Poking a hole with a screwdriver didn't work so well for me (screwdriver would go through, but not the wire), so I stabbed it in an X-shape with a thin pocketknife. Wire went right through then.
Ran the wire under the rocker panel scuff plate, it fit in the little plastic clips I found in there as if it belonged there. I'll get some pics up eventually.
Thanks, mitsutech. Without your advice, I would never have noticed that big hole there, and would probably have ended up running the wire all the way over to the passenger side grommet. This was SO much easier.

Hrm, wish I would've known about that hole way back when I did my stereo install. Also, when I installed my oil pressure gauge, I ran a wire to one of the passenger side grommets, blah.
