suspension and brake upgrades

Hello all,

My 04 ralliart is approaching 85,000 miles on it. I figure it is time to start fresh with all new shocks/struts and new breaks. I would like to know your guys opinion on what to get. I would like the suspension to be close to stock with a slight handling upgrade. I do not want to lower the suspension or go hog wild on expensive stuff. Just something to replace OEM with that may be close to the same price or cheaper. As far as breaks go I do not need anything to crazy. But I will change them myself so better than stock but not race caliber.

Let me know what you guys think.

I would go with KYB struts. You don't really have that many options on struts. Keep your stock springs as they are good for hundreds of thousands of miles (Unless they have tons of rust). Check your control arm bushings. As far as brakes you could do the ebay rotors ( I think a bunch of guys have bought them and not had any problems) and then maybe some ebc green brake pads. They will give you a little more bite over stock.

yeah kyb struts are probably you're only hope for struts on our cars. if the springs are shot though you could probably get some s-techs and it'll handle slightly better. for brakes if you want to upgrade your rotors you could look into the r1concept rotors. i hear their pretty okay for their price. brake pads yeah ebc greens or hawk hps and your good. i'm considering getting some ss brake lines though so if you're planning on going that route thats something you could look into as im sure your brake lines are probably getting old like mine since we're around the same mileage
