Downpipe Question
Question for you guys with more experience...
There is a guy in my town that is selling the RRM downpipe, no header. He bought this before the header and downpipe were sold together. I was just wondering if it would fit my 2005 lancer ralliart without using aftermarket headers... I know this has probably been discussed before but i searched and couldn't find a solid answer... TIA.

The original downpipe from RRM is made to be used with the STOCK RA header, so to answer your question... yes.

check to see if your Cat. is welded to the DP or bolted. Awhile ago, members on this forum noticed that some had welded cats, and others were bolted.
If it's welded, you will need to cut the stock DP off at the cat, then weld on the new one.

IIRC, the downpipe won't fit your 05. The 05-06 Ralliarts have a 4:1 header, whereas the 04s (what the downpipe was made for) have a 4:2 header.

that's kind of what i was concerned about... I think i will take your word on that one. Thanks for saving me some money!!! I'm pretty sure the reason this guy is trying to sell it because it won't fit his 06. Just wanted to be sure.

A quick easy way to check for sure is to take a look at where your stock header connects to your stock downpipe. If it's two pipes, it'll fit, if it's one, it won't.

My 06 RA has a 4-2 header...the RRM's downpipe that I have has fit perfect on my car!!!
