My Evo7 GTA has 5 speed. The earlier version (not fitted to Evo) was a 4 speed, believe it was fitted to the VR4.

yeah, I got a price of like $3500 for a 5 speed from a GTA... still not sure if it would fit but for that price I think I will stick to my 4 speed for now.

why do you want to swap out the 4sp for a 5 sp?, like i know it would be alot better on the freeways coz the rpm will sit lower, do you want it for the better gear ratios or something?
$3500 for transmission, then like $1500 for install possibly, thats the most part of a turbo kit ...
***edit
also i would think that it would fit the same, b/c it is effectively the same transmission, i would assume only internal parts are changed to allow for a 5th gear

Thats exactly why its not on my to-do list now.
It was going to be the next thing I look at after turbo/supercharger
But I dont think its worth it
