Drives: 2005 Lancer Ralliart

The 04-06 Ralliart reflash is FINALLY done.....

The test car was a 2004 Ralliart with the following mods:

Aftershock UDP
DP and high flow cat and catback exhaust
Weapon R SRI
RPW stage 1 cam

We used a mustang dyno results are as follows:

***NOTE WE DID NOT DO PARASITIC LOSS DO TO TIME ON THE DYNO SO THE NUMBER WILL LOOK LOW THE NET GAIN IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT***

Stock 127whp Tuned 137whp
Stock 135tq Tuned 147tq

Ha, I don't know what I think about that cam. Maybe the australians don't have as aggressive a cam as us in North America so their upgraded cam is actually a downgrade for us. When I installed it I never bothered to take a micrometer to the cam.

Hackish, I know this probably isn't of very high importance for you but has there been any more progress on the AT ECU? We discussed it a bit in the "slushbox" thread you started a while back. I was hoping us AT Ralliart owners might be a bit closer to an electronic shift kit. Also, is the transmission control code part of the main ECU ROM or is it separate? eg: can a reflash be done of the fuel and timing code but not that of the transmission?

Quick question hackish, with your reflash do you disable limp mode as well? Limp mode sure does make me angry, and kicks on at the most random times.

Limp on a NA car what code was it giving you? I had the issue with the turbo flash but Hackish has that worked out.

I don't remember the code atm, but it was the throttle position sensor, I think c/d or something like that.

A common one I've seen on turbo kits is the airflow too high for throttle position. There is a table in the ECU that defines the maximum allowable airflow for a given throttle position. One day I set a few entries to 0 as a joke for Brent. He wasn't too happy when the car when into limp as soon as he went WOT :P

Yes I am able to make the CEL go away by increasing the airflow allowance. You would have to see exactly what code you're getting though... it may just indicate a mechanical problem with your car.

I don't do any reflashes here. I'm not a vendor here either. All of the reflashes I've done for people are still "beta testers" and a few who contacted me through the stuff I've put up on youtube. When they are marketed here I expect they will be through a supporting vendor and sold as a complete reflash device. At present it's just a mail-in type thing since I haven't completed the hardware to sell to individuals. I only keep people up to date here because I know there is nothing else available that works and a lot of people are excited to hear about the potential.

Hachish, you guys still have my ECU. Brent was going to send it back weeks ago but he is not replying to my emails. Have you managed to put the stock tune back onto it yet? I am very disapointed that I haven't heard anything specially as I see he has had time to post on this forum on the 30th but hasn't managed to reply to my emails from the 21st. Are you guys going to give me my ECU back or are you guys scamming me?

Brent has been sick all week. Flu. Make fun of him for having swine flu even though I don't think it was. The trouble with your ECU is that it's not for your car. On that front I already did a tune.

Since it's got an immobilizer I haven't been able to get it to start in a car here. I believe Brent offered to send you one of ours to try in your car and it has no immobilizer enabled. I can flash yours back to stock but it's still just a paperweight for you unless you could get the immobilizer chip from the scrapyard.

Brent never mentioned anything about sending one of your ECU's over. That doesn't interest me sorry as I am now selling my car for something different.

Last I spoke to Brent he was waiting on the ECU to get the stock tune back on it and then he was going to send it back to me. Mind you, he was going to do that a month ago? Being sick sucks, but he managed to post on this forum so why can't he email me letting me know what is going on?

Can you put the stock tune back on it and then send it back home please so I can get my money back for it? He is not getting back to me but based on you replying to my post on here I trust you will work something out with him.

Let me know. I am honestly sick of waiting for it to come back. I told him I want out weeks ago but I'm still waiting on its return.

well if you guys in the U.S/Canada are wanting to see if your ecu (stock not reflashed)will work in our cars let me know I am willing to have a go. I can provide you with a recent dyno I have just had done on my car and I can give you a dyno run once it is installed into my car.
