This past winter I posted of driving out of the driveway I pulled out of daily (at that time) when I heard a loud POP/TWANG come from the front end. I immediately stopped, walked to the front of the vehicle to find the lip cracked almost in two! Mysteriously, I didn't find any obvious mechanism. The only thing I could think of was that an icicle had formed there and binded on the asphalt as I pulled out, shattering into pieces in the shallow snow and leaving no trace. I performed an amature repair with JB Weld (didnt last long) and just got around to repairing it with this method.

Or, maybe just color match a fiberglass eyelid red, as Garrett suggested, and keep the lines of the hood as is:

I like that better...while the color matched lines look better in theory, I think in practice it might look cheesy...while I much prefer other model years headlight designs, it is what it is, and eyelids are about as good as it gets.
