Tape off the top of the hood...
Put another dab of lithium grease on the hood pins, drop the hood one more time to mark the bottom surface of the top of the hood where you will drill through.
Lay out the provided template, using the holes you just drilled to mark the latch locations. Cut out using a dremel motor and a small cutting wheel. Rough cut the radius' with the cutting wheel then finish with a round grinding wheel.

The next steps were lengthy, at least for me they were, which involved attaching the back flange on to the latch. I used two sided tape on the flange which I fastened up on the inside surface of the cut out. I was able to stick my thumb up through the one inch hole on the bottom surface of the hood to keep the flange in place while I dropped the latch through the top. Something else I need to mention are the six small hex nuts which appear to seat firmly inside a recessed plastic hole on the bottom edge of the flange, thus holding them in place for you. Well I found out this was not 100 percent as you started to hear them fallout inside the hood. I chose to put two sided tape on the ones that were falling out, praying that the others weren't going to follow in suit.
I was eventually successful over a period of time and the latches seated nicely. Next, the height of the pins needed to be adjusted and aligned. This wasn't too difficult, but it took a few more modifications and until an hour from sundown. I started at about noon.

^Glad you decided you stick with the black hood/rear wing, I think that'll look best. And, I feel like if you were you paint the mesh black it might not look too bad, but your work with a dremel suggests that it wouldn't be too hard to make an evo 8 vent fit in there.
Great work with the hood pins

Don't know if you can tell but, see the plastic slot that the red pin emerges up through? Look at the top of the rectangle slot and how the corners are rounded. Now look at the bottom of the slot...see how it is an oval? The angle was off enough that the pin was rubbing, so I chose to lengthen the slot. My bro-in-law had a high-speed Dremel bit which I CAREFULLY used. A round file would have been a smarter choice but I couldn't find the darn thing! Both sides had the same issue so I tweaked both slots. At least I was consistent...
