Fuel Injectors
Im about to completely rebuild an turbo my RA and i have all the parts and guru's available already but i have hit one snag in the works...fuel injectors! I have yet to see anyone with a 100% positive answer as to what injectors will fit the RA, i have read alot of IIRC's and i thinks and im pretty sure's but now i am after a positive answer from someone who has used new injectors or who has seen them use. Hopefully this thread will help out alot of other RA guys out there who are stuck at this same spot. Im not in a huge rush but the sooner someone can answer the better i order all parts may 1st and start building the 17th, and for anybody interested i will keep adding to this thread as i go and post dyno sheet before and after.

I have installed wrx injectors, I recently bought an after market Evo 8 fuel rail and the wrx injector fit.... You should not have any problems
wrx injector are 450cc I think

I used Lucas DSM injectors 550 cc's. They didn't need any work done to them. I had to push them in a bit harder in the fuel rail, that's all.

it's not the first positive answer, not by a long shot. just need to look harder for information not everyone uses the wrx injectors will work, as will just about any other side mount high impedance injector. you will have to customize the height of the fuel rail with spacers to fit just about any aftermarket injector though, as the stockers are real short.

how do the SMT-7 and NEO control fuel? I don't believe either unit has been tested on the RA and the SMT-6 will NOT control fuel on the RA (unless you are smarter than me and Chris DeWinnar at perfect power )

Have a look at the New AEM Fuel controller, very inexspensive and works well on our cars, you may need other little tuning tricks along with that unit, but it will definitly move you in the right direction for your setup, cost wise about $325. very well priced
