Ugly as sh*t steering
For starters, no my question aint if an Evo wheel is gonna fit. I don't care about that.
My question is :
Anyone knows if there is something i can stick to the original steering wheel to get a chrome mitsubishi emblem, as an overlay or rightly-sized emblem?
Or even a steering from another Mitsubishi car that would still have an airbag in it, and let me keep my cruise control that could be easily put on my steering column?
The thing is that local laws forbid the de-activaton (therefore removal) of an airbag. I could replace it though, so I'd have to find a steering that would retain the airbag installation.
Thanks for any advice you can provide.

I would worry about that Emblem being projectiled to your face if your airbag would go off though....that would worry me...
I have seen someone put an emblem and I have seen someone switch with an older mitsubishi steering wheel that was a little nicer (forget which car)...I'll try to find the pictures tonight

I know you said you didn't care about an evo steering wheel, but you can swap it with one and put your single stage airbage in the evo wheel.

The truth is, I want a chrome emblem in the middle of my steering wheel. I like the newer Ralliart wheels :
http://image.motortrend.com/f/287843...erior_view.jpg
That's what I would want. And my personnal opinion is that the Evo Momo wheel isn't even close to be nicer. Anyways, I'd be looking for either a newer Mitsubishi car maybe, or a chrome emblem of some sort to put over mine.
BTW I dont mind forking over the dough, I really think this part of my car needs improvement.

I was gonna suggest this to u but all the other gizmos wont be compatible with your car and the last thing u want is a malfunction. Why don't you get the 06 Ralliart steering wheel?
or if u can the one from the Colt Ralliart

Good post boondoc
Its the Cold Ralliart steering wheel that I've seen inside a 04-06 Ralliart...its not a bad looking wheel at all.
I got the Evo and I'm happy with it, even if I have no more cruise lol

Well for now I guess I'll keep my POS steering because the airbags are worth over 600CAD alone, not including steering. I'm definitely not spending 1k on a steering, I'd rather spend it under the hood.

try painting the stock one... I painted mines (no pictures sorry) and it was fine. Plus you don't have to worry about it launching at you.

My evo wheel has my cruise mounted on it, before i get into it remember i havent been home but a total of maybe a month and a half in the past two years since I am deployed sooo final product isnt finished yet. I had posted up some pics of it and ill try to post them up on here. Basically there are little nuts if you take that small little door on the wheel off that you can mount the cruise switch to. I have to cut the small plastic tabs down and redrill a hole for it to work right. The switch sits to far out and hits my leg on turns sometimes. Not hard to mount, I will try to post up some pics.

I would love to but as stated I AM still in the middle east and wont be back till sometime around April lol. The how to will have to wait LOL. I do plan to finish it, But I could get some better pics and possibly work on it when I am home on leave in January lol. I will keep you all posted on my project. Like i stated, it sticks out to much soooo I will need to figure a way to moutn it up in the wheel better.
I took the cruise control out of my stock RA wheel, wasn't hard at all. Just make sure not to set off the air bag lol.
When i get home in January I will take it back off and work on it some more, ill take pics and do a right up on it if no one has copied this idea and taken it farther then I have buy then.
