i believe it was with the 06 RAs that in order to install the evo wheel you needed the evo hub cause there were fitment issues. im not 100% certain on that so would anyone be able to verify that?

It's been talked about already. The Evo steering wheel only fits up to '05 model years because the '06 hub is smaller. You'll need to swap it out in order to make it fit (check the regular lancer forums, I think there's a how to on that).

Thanks to robyn

it does work couple of minor things u need to do.

DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AND DO NOT DISASEMBLE THE STEERING WHEEL FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES

so the SRS system discharges it stored power and you don't blow the airbag in ur face

use this time to take off the lower dash trim panel by ur knees, and knock the evo shaft out of the column sleeve it may of maynot come with

1) swap the entire steering column shaft with that of an evo 8-9

2) take your 06 RA shaft out of the column sleeve(its the tube around ur shaft has bearing at either end

3) put the evo shaft into RA sleeve, be advised the evo shaft changed diamater slightly at the lower portion that would go into the lower bearing of the column sleeve, so u have to manual adjust how far u put the column into the shaft so that the bearing doesn't restrict the ease of turning the column and wheel

4) *caution* remove your air bag gas generator from your RA steering wheel and bore the mounting holes a touch bigger, u'll see exactly what i mean when u try to place the generator into the evo wheel

5) you can custom mount the cruise control lever from your RA into the evo wheel, take some imagination and patients

6) take the car into the dealer to have your SRS system reset and bobs ur uncle your entire SRS system SHOULD work as you will have no SRS faults

pretty sure that covers it... its a simple swap just a little on the tedious side, i was gunna make a DIY forgot my camera when doing the swap
