Neons

i have a basic idea of how to install underbody neons but i was wondering if i could make the lights go off when i lock/unlock the car...like the turn signal...plus is there a guide to installing neons?

Well I guess you could wire it up to the power to the turn signals and have switches for it...

well if it hooked it up to the turn signal wouldn't the neons go off when i use the turn signals to turn also?

Not if you have one switch hooked up to it so that when you leave the car, the switch is on and it flashes with the lights. Turn it off when you get ready to drive and have a separate switch for main power.

I'm sure it could be simplified though...

u could eliminate one switch by using a relay and then run a switch from a master power for them but they would still blink with the turn sigs unless you put in two switches one from power to the turns and one from a aux power.or just use a dubble flip switch for up and down exe
but im half awake ill have to think about it more and ill get back to ya

well i haven't done this mod yet...i really don't want a switch because i will not have it on for too long at a time....i found this forum for scion http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=107839

its says that i would need 2 relays adn either tap into the parking lite wire... you guys think this would work??? is there an easier way
