O2 sensor problem
Today I was trying to get off the O2 sensor (the one after the cat) on the exaust to install a CEL eliminator but I couldn't unscrew it. I've tried to put some rust stuff but it has doesn't change anything!!!
Do you have tips to get it off??? It should be an easy job, I don't want to spend money jsut for that little thing!!!

Heat the threaded part with a torch. If you can get it to glow faintly red, it should come right out with an O2 sensor socket or box end wrench.

heating it won't break the O2 sensor?
To put the box wrench on the O2sensor, I'll need to unplug the sensor!!! Is that difficult?

not at all but you could use an open ended wrench if you're worried of breaking the connector/s.

Use an O2 sensor socket, that's what they're for.

try your local parts store... its better that you unplug the sensor, because if/when you do start taking it off, you dont want to twist the wires and tear them. majority of your o2 sensors are unclipped... i dont know which one you are trying to remove...

one more thing, if you want, if you cant find an already made one at your local store, you can make your own as well... just die-grind out a slot on the socket you can fit over the sensor.
